Extended producer responsibility (EPR) for packaging is a regulatory obligation that requires companies placing packaging on the market to take responsibility for managing their waste (collection, sorting, and recycling), most often through an approved eco-organization.
The PRG for packaging (Producer Responsibility Group – Packaging) refers to the scope or category of packaging for which a company is responsible under EPR. It provides a framework for declaring, monitoring, and reporting on the packaging concerned.

The LUCID number is a unique identifier assigned to companies that place packaging on the German market and must comply with the German Packaging Act (VerpackG).
It is issued via the LUCID system, which is managed by the Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (ZSVR). This central system makes it possible to:
Verify that producers and distributors are in compliance with German packaging regulations.
Ensure that packaging is properly handled for sorting, recycling, and recovery.
Inform authorities and consumers that the company is complying with its legal obligations.
Robin des Bois is registered in the LUCID system and all our packaging complies with German regulations on packaging waste management.
The Dual System is a private packaging collection and recycling system in Germany, created to support the implementation of the Packaging Act (VerpackG).
Key points:
Companies that place packaging on the German market must register with the dual system via a private eco-organization (e.g., Der Grüne Punkt, Landbell, Interseroh, etc.).
The aim is to finance and organize the collection, sorting, and recycling of used packaging.
The LUCID number assigned to the company proves that it is registered and complies with the Dual System and German regulations.
All products sold in Germany must be labeled and covered by this system.
Robin des Bois is registered in the Dual System and all our packaging complies with German legislation on packaging waste management.
